Since its inception, the Historic Preservation Commission has encouraged the general public to submit a completed application of individual(s) in the following fields: Arts and Humanities, Athletics, Business & Trade, Educational & Cultural Affairs, Governmental Affairs, Historical Characters, Professional, and Unsung Heroes & Good Hearts.

Since 2005, total of 22 individuals have been honored as result of this program.
