DesJarlais farms is located on the edge of Sturgis, SD.

Our family has owned the property since 1938. Our grandfather, Joseph Henry planted concord grapes in the early 40's that are still producing a wine we call legacy red. The current 3rd and 4th generation planted a new vineyard in 2012 using the northern cold climate grapes developed by the university of Minnesota. Over 400 grape vines with 10 different varietals were planted along with a small diverse orchard and berries. It gives us a better offering of grape and country wines. 

Our mission is to fill a void here in the northern black hills for a Boutique local Winery that produces hand crafted wine that our local customers will enjoy.

We have operated a campground for the Sturgis rally for over 38 years. The folks that have stayed with us have deemed our property as the Sturgis Hideaway. 

We are currently running our winery out of the main house on the property. The expansion plans are to move to one of the large barn buildings on the property with the advent of city water and sewer added to these locations. The possibilities for large and small events is very evident when visiting the property.
